Most people recommend that you include keywords in a webpage's title tag. This title tag is not the same as a Meta tag, however it is worth considering it in relation to them. Whatever text you include in the title tag will be displayed in the title bar of their internet browsers when they look at the site.
In addition, almost all major search engines will use your title tag as the text they use for the title of your listings.
If your site is set up as a bunch of different pages, you need to remember that each page of your whole website has to be search engine optimized. Including your keywords in the title of each page of your site will boost your search engine rankings and send traffic to your website.
Be sure to put some keywords relating to that actual page not just the keywords for the site. The unique combo of the keywords and keyphrases will bring in customers using various search words.
A very common mistake made by a lot of companies when they create their website is to place their business name in the title of every page. The truth is, many of potential customers do not even know the name of your company until after they have browsed your site and decided it is worth bookmarking.
So, I understand why you may want your business name in the title of the home page, it is most likely a waste of good keyword space. It makes more sense to put keywords in the title so that your webpage will be displayed close to the top of the search engine listing.
